Best Abstract

The AANEM's Best Abstract Award is given each year to the first and presenting author of the best abstract submitted to the AANEM Annual meeting.

Deadline for Submission is March 15.
 

Award Subject and Criteria

Original research topics involving therapeutics, diagnosis, management, or basic science relating to disorders of muscle and nerve are eligible for this award. All abstracts submitted for the AANEM Annual Meeting will be considered for this award unless the authors indicate on the submission form that they do not wish to be considered. The criteria for this award include:
  • Excellent scientific merit
  • Well written, excellent discussion
  • Importance to association members
 

Submission Guidelines and Eligibility Criteria

Submit an abstract between January 1 and March 15. During the application process, do not opt out of Best Abstract consideration if you wish do be eligible.

To be eligible for the Best Abstract Award, the recipient must be the first author and the abstract presenter and must be present at the AANEM Annual Meeting to receive the financial award. 

 

Award Benefits

The Best Abstract Award winner receives:
  • Round-trip coach airfare up to $500 (U.S./Canada) or $1000 (international)
  • Hotel accommodations (up to maximum of 3-nights) 
  • $500 cash
  • Free AANEM Annual Meeting registration
  • Abstract published in Muscle & Nerve
  • Recognition in the meeting program and at the AANEM Annual Meeting
The Best Abstract Award Runner-up (if one is selected) receives:
  • Free AANEM Annual Meeting registration
  • Abstract published in Muscle & Nerve
  • Recognition in the meeting program and at the AANEM Annual Meeting
