President's Research Initiative
The President’s Research Initiative Award is given to up to 10 individuals who submit the best abstracts related to the annual meeting plenary topic chosen by the AANEM President each year.
Award Subject and Criteria
Abstracts are reviewed on the following criteria:
- Connection to this year's plenary topic, Disability and NMDs: The Whole Enchilada
- Innovation
- Quality
To be eligible for this award, recipients must be the first authors of the research, designated abstract presenters, and present at the AANEM Annual Meeting.
Submission Guidelines
Submit an abstract between January 1 and March 15. During the submission process, you will be asked if you plan to apply for the President's Research Initiative Award.
Award Benefits
The President's Research Initiative Award recipients receive:
- $500 cash
- Recognition in the annual meeting program and at the AANEM Annual Meeting
- Abstract published in an online supplemental issue of Muscle & Nerve
