Residency and Fellowship

The AANEM Residency and Fellowship Member Award encourages young physician members to conduct research in neuromuscular and electrodiagnostic medicine. The awards are given to AANEM members who are currently enrolled in residency or fellowship programs and are the first and presenting authors on abstracts presented at the annual meeting.

Deadline for Submission is March 15.

Award Subject and Criteria

Research must be conducted on topics in the fields of neuromuscular and electrodiagnostic medicine. Those who are the first and presenting author of an accepted abstract for the Annual Meeting receive a $200 cash reward. Recipients must be present at the AANEM Annual Meeting to receive the financial award. 

Note: To qualify for this award, the first author must be a Residency or Fellowship member at the time of abstract submission.


Submission Guidelines

Submit an abstract between January 1 and March 15. During the application process, you will be asked if you plan to apply for the Residency and Fellowship Award.


Award Benefits

The Residency and Fellowship Award recipients receive:
  • $200 cash
  • Recognition in the meeting program and at the AANEM Annual Meeting
  • Abstract published in Muscle & Nerve
