Pediatric Research Award

The AANEM Pediatric Research Award encourages research in pediatric neuromuscular and electrodiagnostic medicine. Up to five applicants may receive this award and its benefits.  

Award and Eligibility Criteria

Original research must be conducted on topics related to neuromuscular pediatric medicine or rehabilitation. 

To be eligible for this award, the recipient must be the first author of the research, designated abstract presenter, present at the AANEM Annual Meeting, and an AANEM Member at time of abstract submission. (Please contact membership@aanem.org to request a membership application.)

Submission Guidelines

Submit an abstract between January 1 and March 15. To be eligible, applicants must select 'pediatrics' from the dropdown in the “Primary Focus of Paper” section.

Award Benefits

The Pediatric Research Award recipients receive: 

  • $200
  • Recognition in the annual meeting abstract guide and at the AANEM Annual Meeting
  • Abstract published in an issue of Muscle & Nerve
  • Free AANEM Annual Meeting registration
