Residency and Fellowship Member Award

The AANEM Residency and Fellowship Member Award encourages young physician members to conduct research in neuromuscular and electrodiagnostic medicine. These awards are given to all residency and fellowship members who are first authors on abstracts presented at the Annual Meeting.

Award Subject and Criteria

Research must be conducted on topics in the fields of neuromuscular and electrodiagnostic medicine.

To be eligible for this award, the recipient must be the first author of the research, designated abstract presenter, present at the AANEM Annual Meeting, and a Residency or Fellowship member at time of abstract submission.

Submission Guidelines

Submit an abstract between January 1 and March 15. Eligibility is automatically determined during the submission process based on the applicant’s membership status and type. No further action is needed from the applicant.

Award Benefits

The Residency and Fellowship Award recipients receive:

  • $200
  • Recognition in the annual meeting abstract guide and at the AANEM Annual Meeting
  • Abstract published in an issue of Muscle & Nerve
